Core ReStore Volunteers

Our Core ReStore Volunteers are the heart and soul of the ReStore volunteer program. Please click on the position descriptions below to find out more and to help you decide where you may be a good fit. We’d love to have your help! Here are a few ways to get involved:

Cashier

Help check out ReStore customers on our POS register, provide good customer service and assist with maintaining the POS area and related cashier tasks. Positions are open at the Denver, Littleton and Aurora Habitat ReStores as a half-day or full-day opportunity.

Floor Assistant

Work with ReStore staff to keep the floor clean, staged and easy to shop. Floor Assistants may choose to work in a particular area of the store that they are interested in. Areas could include furniture, appliances, lighting, and flooring. Some customer service interactions are a natural part of this position. Half-day or full-day opportunities are available at all five Restores.

Truck Assistant

Ride with our ReStore staff drivers to pick up donations throughout metro Denver. Help load our trucks at the donation site and unload the donations at our ReStores. This position is a full-day opportunity from the Denver ReStore location.

Dock Assistant

Work with ReStore staff to unload donations, load up purchased items, and assist customers and donors on the ReStore dock. These volunteers will learn to accept, process and place donations in our ReStores and to provide customer service to donors and customers. Half-day or full-day opportunities are available at all five Restores.

Volunteer Program Assistant

Orient new volunteers and lead the ReStore safety walk-through. Interact with store volunteers and support them as they begin their shift, and provide a welcoming introduction to the volunteers’ day. Our program staff will provide training for this position. A partial-day shift in either the morning or the afternoon at our four large ReStores.

Metals Program Assistant

The ReStore Metals Program is entirely volunteer run. Volunteers in this department will train with current volunteers to learn the strategy around separating metals into their more valuable components. Half-day opportunities are available at all five ReStores.
