Habitat Metro Denver Core Volunteers are critical to our work. We rely heavily on this special group of individuals who devote their time and services on a long-term basis to all areas of Habitat. All Core Volunteers agree to:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Complete required volunteer training.
- Commit to volunteering 2 to 4 times per month, depending on position.
- Support and promote Habitat’s mission in our community.
Administrative and Office
Support our Construction Programs by assisting with placing and tracking orders for construction materials and supplies. Looking for someone with excellent communication skills, organized, detail-oriented, and experience with Microsoft Outlook and database systems. This is a long-term position, 4-6 hours per week.
Core Construction Volunteer
Work alongside Habitat future homeowners, volunteers, and staff to create change that can be seen for generations to come. No construction experience is necessary. Positions are available in four areas: New Construction, Home Repair, Renovations, and Production Shops. Volunteers must commit to about two days a month.
Core ReStore Volunteer
Work alongside Habitat future homeowners, volunteers, and staff at one of the four Habitat Denver ReStores. Volunteers are trained in a specific area to provide support across ReStore operations and help increase funding for Habitat Denver. Help customers who rely heavily on the ReStores' discounted items to maintain their homes. Volunteers commit to a weekly shift, or about 15 hours a month.
Merchandising Assistant - Wheat Ridge and Littleton ReStores
Do you have an eye for color and furniture arrangements? Are you a closet interior designer who likes to help friends and family beautify their homes? The ReStore merchandising assistant position may be a great fit for you! Exercise your creative eye and make our ReStores stand out to customers. Looking for Merchandising Assistants in our Littleton and Wheat Ridge ReStore locations.
Appliance Tester - Wheat Ridge ReStore
Use your electrical knowledge to conduct limited testing on donated appliances. Appliance testers determine whether a product is quality enough to be sold to our customers, and clean and tag tested appliances. Help customers who rely heavily on the ReStores' discounted items to maintain their homes. Volunteers commit to a weekly shift, or about 15 hours a month. Looking for Appliance Testers for our Wheat Ridge ReStore location.
Dock Assistant - Aurora ReStore
Help customers who rely heavily on the ReStores' discounted items to maintain their homes! This position screens and unloads donations, cleans and prices donations before they are placed on the floor. You must be able to lift 25-50 pounds, and have customer service skills. Volunteers commit to a weekly shift, or about 15 hours a month. Looking for Dock Assistants specifically at our Aurora ReStore location.
Customer Service and Loss Prevention Volunteer - Aurora ReStore
Do you want to make an impact on your community, and enjoy enaging with people? This position assists staff by greeting, directing, and thanking customers in the ReStores, to ensures customers have a positive experience. Volunteers commit to a weekly shift, or about 15 hours a month. Looking for Customer Service volunteers specifically at our Aurora ReStore location.
