Wells Fargo is one of Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver’s most committed corporate sponsors and has been a valued partner since 1998. Over the years, they have contributed more than $1.5MM to support our mission in Denver and touched thousands of metro Denver families. The company has supported both the Home Repair program as well as the Homeownership program.
In 2019, Wells Fargo will sponsor a home at the $150,000 level at Habitat’s Swansea Homes development. We anticipate Wells Fargo employees donating more than 2,000 hours helping to build this home in partnership with Denver native, Angela.
Angela is a single-mother of two young daughters, 3-years-old and 11-years-old, and is proud to partner with Habitat Denver to build a foundation for her children’s future. Angela and her girls have had to relocate constantly due to skyrocketing rental rates in Denver. “We have moved around so much and this new home will finally bring us stability,” shares Angela. Currently, they are living in a cramped apartment in an unsafe neighborhood.
“Each new home we help build may seem like a small step toward our overall goal, yet every home makes a huge difference to the family and community. Habitat’s work goes beyond just providing a home.” said Shelley Marquez, Wells Fargo’s Community Relations Sr., Manager, SVP.
Thank you Wells Fargo for your past contributions, current support, and future commitment to better communities through safe, affordable homes!
