The Carpenter’s Helpers faith coalition is comprised of seventeen Presbyterian Churches that have been building Habitat homes and putting their faith into action since 2001. The coalition has contributed a lifetime donation of over $500,000 to Habitat, and we are so thankful for the love and commitment they provide year after year.
The Carpenter’s Helpers volunteers go above and beyond volunteering on our construction sites to support Habitat Metro Denver—they host fundraisers, organize pumpkin patches, and invite others to join Habitat’s mission. No matter what, they never lose sight of all the hardworking families who need safe, decent and affordable homes in our community. This year, Sarmad and her family will be moving into the 19th Carpenter’s Helpers home—an opportunity that will transform their lives forever.
Sarmad has been looking for a homeownership opportunity for years, but she was always disappointed by the unaffordable closing costs and mortgage payments. She has worked hard as an IT Technician to be able to provide a better life for her nieces and parents; she feels that her hard work and dedication has opened the door for her to partner with Habitat Metro Denver. Sarmad is so excited to move into her new home in north Denver and believes it’s going to be a perfect fit for her family. The single story design of the home will allow her parents to move about freely, and the extra space will give her nieces more privacy and room to play. Sarmad’s new Habitat home in Globeville will give her family the space they need to live healthy and happy lives.
Thank you to The Carpenter’s Helpers for making Sarmad’s dream of homeownership a reality. The Carpenter’s Helpers coalition embodies the spirit of generosity that allows Habitat to continue to build homes and hope in our community.
