Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver has been building high-quality, energy-efficient homes in partnership with hardworking families since 1979. Habitat Metro Denver was the first nonprofit homebuilder in the country to build a home certified to meet the standards of ENERGY STAR v3, Indoor airPLUS, and WaterSense.
ENERGY STAR products such as refrigerators, front-loading washers, and CFL bulbs are included in all new Habitat Metro Denver homes. Habitat Metro Denver also incorporates tankless water heaters, 92%-efficient furnaces and low-flow toilets for additional utility savings.
E-Star reports show that a Habitat Metro Denver house saves 30% to 40% in heating and electric use when compared to a code-built home.
