Women Build Week

Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver has some exciting news to share about our local Women Build programs… we’re launching a new program called Women Build Warriors so participants can stay involved throughout the year!

Many of you are familiar with Women Build Week – our multi-day annual event – where 150 women come together over the course of 5 days to blitz frame two homes. Women Build Week is our biggest annual Women Build event  and is taking place October 9-13th, 2019.

Women Build Warriors is a quarterly, single day of building and is intended to allow women a fun opportunity to work alongside other women, build friendships, and to keep building year-round. Women are key to both these programs!

Women Build Week is an opportunity for women to impact Denver’s affordable housing crisis. Women Build Week is the biggest Women Build event of the year when 150 women come together to build and fund a Habitat house.

Habitat Metro Denver needs to fundraiser $150,000 in support of every home we build. This year’s goal for Women Build is to raise $75,000. This is an increase over last year’s goal, but the housing crisis in our community requires us to be bold, lean in and do more!

Join Us: Women Build Warriors Day
Our new Women Build Warriors program is looking for women interested in learning construction skills while building friendships and expanding your network of powerful women. Each quarter, Women Build Warriors will host a special build day where participants can raise walls, install siding, paint, and other fun tasks involved in building a house! Each participant will receive a water bottle on their first build day and a Women Build Warriors sticker.

Join us on our first Women Build Warriors build day on Saturday, August 24 in the Swansea Homes neighborhood. We have 20 build slots set aside for you and your friends.
