Please join us in congratulating Alice Goble, our long-time ReStore Volunteer Program Manager, as she retires after 16 years at Habitat Metro Denver. Words cannot describe Alice's commitment and contributions to Habitat Metro Denver as they are unquantifiable. She has recruited and led tens of thousands of volunteers, and leaves a legacy of building the (now-robust) ReStore Volunteer Program from scratch.

If you’ve ever worked alongside Alice, you know her talent for connecting with people and making sure everyone feels valued and appreciated. Here are just a couple sentiments from people who worked closely with her:

"Alice was the first ReStore Volunteer Manager in the country, and the work she has done since has been incredible. I can't thank Alice enough for the incredible ways she’s been our partner, our friend, and our champion in this work. Her positivity, creativity, empathy, and passion for our mission, our volunteers and our community is something I will always remember and cherish."
– Heather Lafferty, Habitat Metro Denver's CEO.

"I first met Alice Goble in 2008 when I started working at the Denver ReStore. Over the years I learned to know Alice as a ReStore mentor, parental advisor, mad creative genius, visionary of grand ReStore dreams, compassionate boss, and close friend. Alice believes fiercely in egalitarianism, compassion, and the mission of the ReStore and Habitat for Humanity. Thank you, Alice!"
– Aaron Liechty, Habitat Metro Denver's Graphic Designer.

"It has been a pleasure and an honor to work alongside Alice. I can’t even begin to capture the number of lives she’s impacted… from the thousands of first time ReStore volunteers to our beloved Cores, and especially the hundreds of individuals and children who have grown up in a healthy and stable home because of her dedication and hard work. It is rare to find someone as devoted to a mission as I have witnessed in Alice."
– Nicole Stanek-Scott, Director of Volunteer Engagement.

From all of us at Habitat Metro Denver – THANK YOU, Alice, for your amazing tenure at our affiliate.
