Community Groups and Schools
The need for affordable housing in metro Denver has never been greater. We depend on community support to ensure that hardworking families have a safe, decent place to call home. Habitat is an inclusive environment that welcomes schools, faith congregations, businesses, and groups of friends and family to pick up a hammer and lend a helping hand.
No prior experience is needed, Habitat provides all tools, safety equipment, training and supervision. Volunteers help with many stages of construction including subfloors, framing, roofing, window installation, siding, painting, finish work and much more.
Volunteer days are Wednesday through Saturday from 9:00am - 4:30pm and we ask for a full day commitment. Participants must be at least 16 years old to help with construction and at least 14 years old for the warehouse. Group size typically ranges from 3 to 20 people, depending on the season. We ask that participants bring a lunch, water bottle and the willingness to learn something new!
