Habitat Metro Denver recently launched the 5th annual Energy Industry Collaboration, which engages energy companies with Habitat’s mission of partnering with low-income families to provide affordable homeownership opportunities.

Eleven companies make up the Energy Industry Collaboration: Concord Energy, DCP Midstream, Discovery Natural Resources, EOG ResourcesFranklin Mountain Energy, Impact E&P, Liberty Oilfield Services, MPLX/Marathon Petroleum, Occidental Petroleum, PureWest Energy, and SM Energy. Each company contributes financially and send teams of employees to build homes.

We are grateful to the members of the Energy Industry Collaboration for their unparalleled support. In 2019, the Energy Industry Collaboration raised more than $450,000 which was utilized to fund two Habitat for Humanity homes. Additionally, the companies’ employees donated 4,000 volunteer hours building both homes.

In 2021, the members of the Energy Industry Collaboration have again pledged the funding needed to build two Habitat for Humanity homes. They are supporting two units at Aria Homes, Habitat’s newest development, and volunteer work begins in September!
