Frequently Asked Questions about volunteering with the Outlets.

How do volunteers help at the ReStore Outlets?

In Store: ReStore volunteers build homes with their hearts. The Denver Habitat ReStore Outlets have been successful beyond our expectations. All three of the ReStores are in need of volunteers. Volunteers at the ReStores help to load and unload sales and donations, stock shelves, re-arrange items, and help customers. Please note that heavy lifting is often required.  Volunteers are also used to answer the phones, run the cash register, and schedule pickups.  Volunteers who commit to answering the phones and working on the cash register are asked to make a commitment of one shift weekly.

Deconstruction: Want to join our wild and wonderful deconstruction crew? Deconstruction volunteers help salvage recyclable and reusable materials from homes that are being renovated, remodeled, or demolished. Deconstruction projects begin at 9:00 a.m.. and end between 12:00-3:00 p.m. Deconstruction volunteers must be eighteen years old and have an ability to work with power tools.
