There are many ways to become involved in Habitat's work. Volunteers can help in one or more of the following areas. Click the link that best describes your interest for more information and for links to our online sign-up system.

New Home Construction Sites

• Individual Volunteers build homes every Thursday through Saturday. 
  
  
• Volunteer Groups of 3 or more individuals from corporations, faith communities, and civic organizations can work together on-site.
  
  

ReStore Home Improvement Outlet Stores

• Individual and Group Volunteers prepare donations for display, assist customers, run the cash registers, and help keep the ReStores clean and organized. 
  
  
• Court-Ordered Community Service Volunteers may complete hours at our ReStore locations.
  
  

Special Projects and the Office

• Youth Volunteers can support Habitat's mission through various projects they can complete at home, school, or church.
  
  
• Committee Volunteers support vital aspects of Habitat's program including family selection, family support, special events, marketing and communications, building on faith, design & construction, site acquisition, and speakers bureau.
  
  

• Women Build Fundraising Committee provides a unique opportunity for women volunteers to work together to raise funds and build the annual Women Build home.
  
  
• Office Volunteers work behind the scenes to assist with the overall operation of the organization's various departments - volunteers, family services, development, human resources, computer operations, and facilities management.
  
  

• Global Village volunteering trips offer the unique opportunity to experience another culture while building homes internationally. 
  

If you decide you would like to become involved with Habitat on a regular basis, we suggest that you attend a Volunteer Orientation held on the first Wednesday of every month at 12:00 noon and the second Monday of every month at 7pm at our office, located at 3245 Eliot St.  There is no need to sign up ahead of time, simply join us to hear about different ways you can volunteer with us.
