About the ReStores
Open to the public, the Habitat
Restore Home Improvement Outlets sell new and used building material at
affordable prices to the greater Denver community. All of our profits go
towards supporting Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver's mission of
building decent, affordable housing in partnership with local
hard-working, low-income families.
The ReStore Mission
Founded by Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver in 2004, the Habitat ReStores supply new and used building materials donated by individuals, manufacturers, businesses and contractors at affordable prices to the metro Denver community. The ReStores support the development of decent affordable housing for hard-working, low-income families. We keep valuable items out of landfills, recycle usable goods, support the vision of eradicating poverty housing and offer opportunities for individuals and groups to volunteer.
Our Dynamic, Nonprofit Model

This model shows the ReStores’ connection to both Habitat for Humanity and the greater Denver community. One crucial component to our model that isn’t shown here is volunteerism. Because Habitat volunteers are involved in every aspect of Habitat for Humanity, there simply isn’t enough room to fit them all in one diagram! Our volunteers maintain ReStore inventory, help customers, take calls from donors and customers and participate in deconstruction projects to salvage reusable materials and items for resale. Volunteers also help build homes for hard-working Denver area families and make the dream of homeownership a reality in your neighborhood. |
