Habitat Young Professionals (HYP) is about having fun and making personal and professional connections throughout Denver, while helping to give hardworking, low-income metro Denver families a chance to finally own a home.

HYP's goal is to raise money to build additional homes with Habitat Metro Denver.  We do this by engaging with young professionals at social events and build day events throughout the year.  We hope you will join us to raise money to build homes and awareness for the need for affordable housing. 


There are five ways to get involved with HYP:

1. Join us on Facebook and get updates on upcoming events and activities
2. Attend our social events - see below for information.  Most events are open to the public but a few are for members only.
   
3. Join us for a build day - see below for information. 
   
4. Become a member by making a $20 recurring donation on Habitat's secure online donation page and put HYP in the special designation.  Members receive a free t-shirt, a tax deduction for their donation, access to members only events throughout the year as well as other perks.
   
5. Join our Leadership Team (LT) which sets the course for the group and coordinates our events and other fundraising activities.  Click here to email a representative for more information.
   

HYP Social Events

What:  Rave Run
When:  Saturday, April 20th, 6 pm - Race day registration, 8:30 pm Race Start
Where:  City Park, Denver
Details:  The Rave Run is a night time 5K where runners, artists and insomniacs unite. Experience a nocturnal wonderland with 3.1 miles of stunning lights and music. Celebrate at the after-party for an unforgettable evening of fun with music By FAIA & AISU.  Get your glow on and come own the night.  Click here for information about the Denver event and to register.  A portion of the proceeds from this race will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver and will go towards HYP's goal of raising half a house in 2013.  Can't attend the Rave Run?  Check out the Firefly Run, happening in Denver on July 20th.  Proceeds from both events will go to support Habitat Metro Denver and HYP. 

HYP Build Days

When and Where:

• Saturday, May 11th at 202 E 45th Ave in Denver.
• Saturday, July 20th at 5150 Sherman Street in Denver.
• Saturday, August 24th at Sable Ridge, 15142 E Andrews in Denver.

Details:  HYP Build days are special.  Get to know other young professionals while swinging a Hammer for Habitat.  We'll provide lunch (and hot coffee or cold popsicles depending...).
